Jasper Milo | 5 1/2 Months

Jasper’s room is my favorite one in the house.  It’s pale yellow, with stripes in different shades of aqua.  It’s the most free of clutter, probably because he doesn’t actually sleep there, and is just a peaceful place, its tones and textures reminiscent of the beach.

He’s been a bit photo neglected, compared to our first born.

The rocker/glider was a custom purchase from Phillips Furniture in Kirkwood.  I spent hours looking for just the right kind of chair and ended up going the custom route.

Six Years of Blogging

This month, we celebrate our six year business anniversary and in May, it will be 6 years of marriage/10 years of being together.  We started off as Benton Park Photography Co. when we lived in Benton Park.  Makes sense, right?  Also a mouthful!  I didn’t get the don’t name your business with more than 2 or 3 syllables memo.  I suppose it goes along with having a compound last name.  I should have just gone with Williams, but Young Williams sounded so cool to me.  That is until the first time I had to sign my name.  But I digress.

I’m not afraid of commitments, as evidenced by marriage, two kids, two dogs and a mortgage.  But, I don’t always tend to stick with the same activities for super long.  I’ll get really excited about something, do it for awhile and move on to something else.  So, it’s pretty amazing that this blog has survived for a solid six years.  It’s not always been the most happening place to be.  In fact, recently, I went the dreaded month in between blog posts.  But if you scroll down to the bottom, you can see a six year history.  And that’s awesome.

We’ve gone from city-living, city-loving, pretty self-righteous, green, never wanting kids people to suburban, a little less green and self-righteous, having two kids kind of people.  There have been travels to multiple continents, restaurant reviews for places now a distant memory and pounds lost and gained and lost and gained.

All right here.  Dig in a bit and read some of our history.

And join us in celebrating a new, more streamlined Wishbone.
